Kitchen remodels with Birdseye run from about $15,000 for a facelift to $120,000+ for a luxury full gut with appliance and plumbing relocation and new flooring. What sets the number is whether the layout changes and the finishes you choose — and you get a fixed price for your exact scope before anything starts.
Three ways to remodel a kitchen
Most kitchen projects fall into one of three levels. The difference is how far you go — from refreshing surfaces to rebuilding the whole room around a new layout.

Facelift
$15k – $25k
Same layout
Cabinet refacing or painting, new countertops, updated hardware, fixtures, backsplash, and lighting. The kitchen looks new without moving a single wall or line.

Mid-Grade Remodel
$40k – $60k
Same footprint
New cabinetry, countertops, appliances, and flooring in the existing footprint. The biggest visual change without the cost of relocating plumbing or structure.

Luxury / Full Gut
$60k – $120k+
New layout
Layout changes, plumbing and electrical relocation, new flooring, and premium finishes throughout, plus appliances. The complete transformation, tailored to how you actually cook and gather.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Fort Worth?
Kitchen remodels with Birdseye generally start around $15,000 for a facelift, run $40,000 to $60,000 for a full mid-grade remodel, and reach $60,000 to $120,000 or more for a luxury full gut with new appliances, plumbing and electrical relocation, and new flooring. Where a project lands depends mostly on whether the layout changes and on the level of the finishes selected.
What is the difference between a kitchen facelift and a full remodel?
A facelift keeps the existing layout and cabinets, updating surfaces such as paint, cabinet refacing, countertops, hardware, and lighting. A full remodel replaces cabinets and often moves plumbing, electrical, and walls to change the layout, which is why the cost range is so much wider.
Do I need a permit to remodel my kitchen?
A permit is required whenever the work moves or adds plumbing, electrical, or gas, or removes a wall. A cosmetic facelift that keeps everything in place often does not. Because most full kitchen remodels relocate at least one of those systems, they typically require a permit.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
A facelift is often completed in two to four weeks. A full kitchen remodel with layout changes typically runs six to ten weeks of construction, plus design and any permitting beforehand. Cabinet lead times are frequently the longest single item, so ordering early protects the schedule.
Can you move plumbing to add a kitchen island?
Yes. Adding a sink or dishwasher to an island requires running water, drain, and electrical to that location. On a slab foundation this means cutting and re-pouring concrete, which is a meaningful cost. On a pier-and-beam home the same work is done from the crawlspace and costs less.
